The sea is never still. I sat and intensly watched it rolling in, choppy and breaking. The light passing through the waves. I made some quick sketches and a very long intensive mark making observational painting, just a small one. Then with jazz greats blasting I painted this one  when I got back to my studio. I was trying to get the movement and light I had seen whilst sitting on the pier.
